Apple mousse

A few hours in the freezer and this apple mousse become a creamy apple ice-cream!

Positive: Creamy, fluffy and sweet!

Negative: Not the last-minute dessert kind.

Ingredients for 4-5:

  • 2 apples
  • 20 cl cream
  • 1/2 lemon

In your pantry:

  • 2 tablespoons sugar/or honey

Recipe:

Peel apples, core them and cut into slices.

Put apple pieces in a pan with 2 spoons of sugar and 3 spoons of water. Cook on medium-low heat until tender. Add lemon juice, blend to a purée consistency and leave to cool down.

Whip cream with an electric batter until you obtain a fluffy texture.

Combine whipped cream with apple compote and stir gently.

Serve in glasses. Keep in fridge before to serve.

My advice: Decorate with mint leaves or chopped mint, lemon or lime zest, but most of all, best served frozen! First, 1-2 hours in freezer. Stir and put back in freezer for another hour at least.
