Drunken Pasta

Tired of the classic pasta and tomato sauce? Try this Drunken Pasta.

Positive: Lovely colour!

Negative: Cooking time can be a bit tricky. Although the pasta will taste like the wine you use so you might want to choose one that you like.

Ingredients: 200 g spaghetti – 2 garlic cloves – 20 cl red wine

Recipe:

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. In the meantime, heat oil and garlic in a skillet on low heat for about 5 minutes.

Pour wine in the skillet and increase heat to medium heat.

Add pasta to boiling water and cook only for 5 minutes. Drain well then add the pasta to the skillet. Allow the pasta to finish cooking and absorb the wine for a few more minutes. Pasta should be al dente. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with grated parmesan cheese.

My advice: You might want to add some chili pepper flakes (while cooking garlic) to spice up your drunken pasta.
